From Dresses...to Successes is a series that explores the similarities and differences of how women are depicted in popular contemporary fashion magazines, such as Vogue, with those found in vintage sources like National Geographic. The hand-cut collages made up of only 2 magazine pages, compare and contrast how women have been depicted working or seemingly doing work, questioning women’s perceived role in the work force and examining how, and if, it has changed. The cold irony in using fashion magazines as the source material is that it is one of few industries where women consistently make more money than men.

This series was exhibited at Scotia Bank Contact Photography Festival in 2018. (see here)
